What is 3D Scanning

3D scanning creates a Virtual Reality copy of a real-world place, a state-of-the-art method of spatial recording called a digital twin. It’s the most realistic, immersive way to experience a space and enables viewers to feel like they’re really there.

Far Beyond

Our VR goes far beyond a standard 360 tour. One scan also generates Schematic Floor Plans to within 99% accuracy and High Resolution Print-Ready Photographs.

Our Scans Produce OBJ and Point Clouds

We produce Scan to CAD: OBJ files, Point Cloud and mesh for integration with Autodesk Revit, ReCap™  and AutoCAD to enable collaboration across teams.

Products

Each scan is held on our cloud platform, delivered and accessed by a URL link and viewed online on any PC, Tablet, Smartphone or VR Headset. All 3D scans are also delivered as embed codes for our clients to publish on their websites or to share internally with colleagues and their client for better communication.

There is a measuring tool on all 3D models as standard available when viewing on a device allowing you an instant overview of dimensions on the horizontal and vertical axes as well as measuring objects and spaces in between.

Sent via email as PDF. and PNG. files

Schematic Floor Plans are generated from the same data used to create your 3D model and are accurate to within 1% or reality. All Schematic Floor Plans include individual room labels and measurements. The plans of individual floors are delivered separately in PNG format, and all foors together in a one page are delivered as a PDF file.

Sent via email as JPG. files

For every 3D scan, we can capture (or grab) a 4K image from any angle or position. 4K photos provide highly detailed,  incredibly crisp and clear and therefore print-ready.

The images are orthogonal views of a 3D mesh to use in AutoCAD as a tracing element. Views/slices of the 3D mesh can be created by manipulating the OBJ file.

Sent in a zip file via Wetransfer

We create OBJ files of the 3D mesh that you can download and import into third-party programs such as Autodesk Recap and Revit. There is automatic point cloud registration of all sweeps (scan positions), colorized based on the 360º panorama imagery and accurate to within 1% of reality.
